According to the United Nations’ SOLAS Convention, at least half of the lifebuoys on board must be equipped with a self-activating night light, such as the MARINER LED.

The SOLAS Convention also requires that the lifebuoy light be positioned near the lifebuoy and attached with a cord or line. The MARINER LED comes ready with this feature.
